Weekly Community Meeting at Tofapur Centre

A weekly community meeting was successfully organized at the Tofapur Centre, with the active participation of local women. During the meeting, the women discussed the formation of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM).
To provide detailed guidance on the process of forming and managing SHGs, Mr. Subhash Ji was invited to the meeting. He explained how Self-Help Groups can be formed, managed, and effectively operated.
It was collectively decided to form two Self-Help Groups, each consisting of 13 women. The members of each group will democratically select their own President and Secretary through mutual consultation and consensus. With the unanimous approval of the participants, one of the groups was named the “Nirmal Mahila Swayam Sahayata Samuh.”
The meeting also included the distribution of books to girls who had not received them earlier. In addition, two more women were selected for the distribution of sewing machines to support their livelihood and skill development.
Furthermore, under the guidance of our Program Coordinator, Neha Ji, it was decided to facilitate the admission of two girls into Class 10, supporting their continued education.
The meeting was successfully organized and coordinated by Neeraj and Rohit.
The initiative reflects our continued commitment to women’s empowerment, education, skill development, and sustainable community development.
